Mayor & City Council


City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each calendar month beginning at 6:00 PM, in the City Hall Conference Room located at 1125 Austin St. The City Council may also meet at other locations other than City Hall for Special Meetings. If meetings are canceled, please see calendar for any cancellations.

Meetings of the City Council - Regular or Special Meetings - are open to the public. The City Council must be in open session in order to take formal action on any matter.

City Ordinances
are municipal laws adopted by the City Council to maintain the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and
customers.
The Council also may consider Resolutions, which are statements of policy or support for a specific issue but may not
require fiscal or staff resources. Three votes of the Council are needed to approve or disapprove any Council item.
